It's actually been an awesome year for me, (as you can see by my top choices), so I'm not sure how 2014 plans to measure up, but I look forward to seeing it try.

On Instagram Now

Sorry for worrying anyone with my recent absence, but I had some life stuff come up. I'm only sort of back online now. Hopefully I can get back to photo comics soon. :)

Aaaanyway, I've had a few people ask me whether I was on Instagram, and I'm finally giving it a shot. I'm the_starhorse over there. I've had the account for a while, but I haven't used it until now. I figure I'll give it a try for a while, though I'll still be active on Tumblr and Twitter. (And yeah, I know about Instagram's evil new polices about stealing their users' photos for free commercial use. That's part of why I'm only trying it. We'll see how it goes, or if they stick to this idiocy.)

Commission Status and Feature

Commission Status

Just a quick note to let everyone know that at the moment, commissions are closed. I've had a number of people asking about commissions lately, so I thought I'd pop this note up here to let everyone know. Thank you so much for the interest though! I wish I could do a commissions more often. If and when I ever open them again, I will post a notice here.

And now, on to a lovely feature!

Free Chibi For 300k Screen Grab

Looks like we're nearing another kiriban, so as a small thank you to my lovely watchers, I'm giving away a free chibi to the person who either grabs the 300,000th pageview screenshot, or the closest number. 

Rules:

1. Send me a screen shot of the 300,000th page view, or the closest number, via note. If you get a number that's close, feel free to send it. It's not always the exact pageview that wins, since sometimes the 300,000th viewer doesn't realize there's a contest going on. :)

2. Chibi will be one character only with a simple background, and can be either digital or watercolor format. You will, however, only receive the digital copy, since sending a watercolor through the mail can be expensive. Digital copy will be high-resolution. Examples of single chibi art:

3. I'll do any character from any franchise, but I won't do OCs, simply because those just get to be too complex. I also won't do anything offensive, so don't ask. :)

4. No cheating. If you photoshop it, I can tell. Anyone attempting to cheat will be placed on the black list. Black listing means that you'll never be able to commission me, or participate in any future contests.

5. No complaining. This journal wasn't up for five minutes before someone complained to me that I won't do OCs. Let me make this clear: any complaining will disqualify you from winning. Period.
