Your paints really suit Mirage, no matter how he is drawn--Mirage is one of those chars always seeming to need a place, making him wistful and ephemeral in a way (ah, the symbolism of his invisibility). He is always more than what others think of him and your pictures seem to catch it.
I completely agree with you about Mirage. There is something almost transient about Mirage's character, as though he exists in two places at once. (And yes, the symbolism there...) He's just such a fun character to write and draw, so I'm glad my style seems to be working for him, thanks.
Awww, the thought of Mirage catching stars is kind of... romantic, I think. Mirage, in my mind, is always so old fashioned, so the idea of catching stars fits with... I don't know, old school love. Silly, I know. But this pic is utterly cute~ His expression is so sweet.
Thanks so much. I do think there's a bit of the wistful about Mirage, and I associate him with night time, so this seemed a logical situation for him. He is a bit of a nostalgic sentimentalist, I think...maybe a bit of a romantic in the poetic sense. Not that he'd let anyone know about it. Poor Mirage...he's a true noble among philistines.
