According to Ginny, the thing about growing up with Fred and George is that you start to think that anything is possible if you have enough nerve. I just don't think George would take Fred's 'death' lying down, not with a hundred magical ways of getting him back.

So...this is one possibility. Fred uses a time-turner to back to the time of the battle, portkeys in to the exact location under cover of cloak, creates a diversion in which everyone thinks they see Fred die, transifgures a corpse to look like Fred, grabs his brother, and portkeys back out again while everyone is still dazed. Once to safety, they either take the time turner back forward, or just pass the time in hiding until they catch up with the ';present'. Ah time travel...the literary ace in the hole.

Yeesh, I don't think I've rambled on this long about anything I've thrown up here. YES, I know that some panels are pretty wank, but I drew these at work, and didn't have enough time for a proper job of it. (And I think this is the first time that coloring has actually improved a line drawing. I usually wank that up good.)

Don't want to be a killjoy but Rowling dealt with the time travel thing by having all the time-turner destroyed in the department of mysteries battle. I don't know how they were made but I think that it must be excruciatingly difficult and I doubt that the Shacklebolt governement would risk recreating them for fear of some dark wizards slealing one.

And wasn't it said or heavily implied that time-turner can only turn back like a day or two in time? Fred is dead, Lupin is dead, Tonks is dead, Colin is dead, and not a single thing can be done about it.

And it's not like I wasn't sad when it happened, I just think that except in some sort of AU form, these characters should just be accepted as dead. Any last-second rescue would just cheapen the impact of these scenes.

Although my comment only stand for the fanfic you based yourself on, because you're art is really great, and I really like your color panels and characters designs.
