I've already got a Henkei Thundercracker (and I was lucky enough to get one without any of the reputed assembly flaws) but you make Generations TC look so good. Sure, he's got no chrome but the quality of paint applications on his face are convincing me to get one. Do you recommend it? (Even if you say no I just might get him anyway)
Actually, most of my images don't show it very well, but his entire chestplate and intakes pieces are chrome. It's a soft, silvery chrome, which I actually prefer to the hard chrome you see on Henkei toys. I was really impressed with this TC for the gorgeous silvery parts. He's really quite a lovely toy. I think he's more nicely done than my Henkei Starscream, if I'm being honest. So yeah, grab him. He's definitely worth having.
Oy, what assembly flaws? That sounds awful, especially considering the price of Henkei TC.
By assembly flaws I mean he and Henkei Skywarp (and even Universe 2.0 Starscream was reported to have them) have a reputaion for being assembled with 2 left or right thighs and there are claims that the 5mm pegs for their guns fit to tightly or not tighly enough. So sucks to be the unfortunate transfans who got dodgy toys.
Now, this was a great segue into the next comic (which I've already read through--I find attending backwards sometimes is more interesting). And it makes Mirage just more endearing. Of course, now I'm going to have to get TC (I have the Henkei version, but he never wants to come out of the plastic--bad boy plastic cut me TWICE).
Vengeance for plushie Wheeljack! Oh Prowl, you should have known better ...
This was an excuse to put Mirage back in the tree, wasn't it? Mirage plus trees equals awesome! Regardless, he's still a nice guy. TC should consider himself lucky ... at least he doesn't have a broken leg like mine did. He's all fixed now and he's still being a baby about it.
It totally was. Raj is so lightweight and posable, that he can hang from tree branches. How much more fun could it be than that?? You have to try it sometime with yours. Trust me, he doesn't mind; my Raj at least is a terrible showoff when it comes to flaunting his acrobatic skills.
TC had a factory defect in his leg and it wouldn't extend the whole way out. This pretty much sums it up: [link] . He hobbled around my office for a few days before I could get the tools to fix him up. He's perfectly fine now, but he's still cranky about the whole thing.
Truthfully, I wasn't even mad. I figured I could probably fix it, and his gimpy-ness was kind of adorable while it lasted. And I can't help but latch on to anything that makes these guys unique to me. I fixed him, and he's *MY* Thundercracker because no other Thundercracker can ever be exactly like him now.
